About Katie Burnett

When I am photographing a client, I consider it a privilege to be observing them at their best. I love to watch them and capture little moments: a kiss on the cheek, a mommy holding her newborn, laughter between siblings. I constantly think about being in their shoes. What would I want someone to capture for me? Wouldn’t I just love to have someone photograph a sweet moment between my husband and me! When I am in an inspiring environment—the scenery, the people, the beautiful natural light—to me, that is bliss. I love walking into a new home and exploring; I immediately see potential and am flooded with ideas for shooting. I have a knack for bringing all those little pieces together for my clients.

Katie remains a dedicated student of her craft. She is a member of a local community of artists in Huntington, NY, at the Center For Creative Development.
