About Melissa Lindenthaler-Troyan

I am owner/photographer of Melissa Troyan Photography, & specialize in wedding photography, engagement sessions & marriage proposals. I began photographing weddings in 2003 & have nine years experience--it is not only my profession, but also my passion. I specialize in wedding photography, engagement sessions & marriage proposals. My style is elegant photojournalism--creative with an exceptional eye for detail. I photograph a blend of fun, candid photographs & modern wedding pictures with an editorial edge, that are mixed with natural & posed classic portraiture. My mission is to unobtrusively capture the true emotions & the mood of your special day. My favorite affairs are intimate city weddings with a touch of urban flair, that capture the energy of the great city of Chicago, while also reflecting the personalities of my couples. I'm energetic, & love capturing fun & creative portraits with my couples & their wedding parties. I am very detail oriented when it comes to your wedding, & am focused on capturing all the big (and small) moments of your day. I strive to make each event personal, and I think of myself as not only as your wedding photographer, but also your trusted wedding adviser -- I am there to make your wedding as enjoyable and stress free as possible (on top of making you look fab-u-lous!) I am a full time professional photographer, and have photographed nearly 200 weddings and events in my career. I have studied photography for over 20 years, and I have extensive training on technique, composition, lighting and portraiture. I am also a newlywed as of April 2011, and planned our big day in only three months! You may have also seen me this summer on the TLC show "Four Weddings," where I was featured as a bride contestant in the first Chicago episode of the hit series.
