Fine art photographer who has evolved into a life-style wedding photographer over this past year. Love to shoot with my macro ( capturing the smallest details) as well as live music performances and events. Also doing some work in real estate photography. What has really touched my heart this past year was getting involved with a young man, Erich Preiss, who is an incredible artist. As a child he was diagnosed with Autism but functions on the high spectrum. He went to college and became a licensed art therapist and he exposed me to doing work on behalf of our veterans after losing one of his dearest friends at the Pentagon on 9-11. I went to photograph his progress as he slowly transformed an old abandoned gas station to what has become a gallery and art studio and a tribute to our fallen soldiers as well as those who have survived and lived to tell their story....He handed me a paintbrush that first day and the rest is a blur...there were several artists that got involved...each incredible in their own specialty... We had a dinner for over 200 of our finest veterans last fall 2010 ( all from donations) and were recognized by the Town of Huntington (NY)...each of us receiving 5 Proclamations from the leaders of our town. It made me feel proud to be involved in something so meaningful. Our hope is to get permits to have regular classes for those with special needs...a sort of art therapy for old and young alike....Ideal goal is to get enough money to buy the building to continue his vision. I feel blessed to be even the slightest bit involved. I'm also a member of the ASMP and PPA, recently signed up for their certification program. These days, everybody has a camera of some sort. I want to be taken seriously...legitimizing my ability as a credible photographer.
